What about other commercial fish?
The range of methylmercury in other commercial species is fairly narrow, from trace levels to about 0.4 ppm.
It is these low-methylmercury fish that are most commonly consumed in the United States. Accordingly, the FDA advisory recommends a "balanced" diet of seafood consumption that will keep methylmercury levels low.
